Fifteen tents strung along a river gorge, reached by zipline into camp

Bill Bensley bought this 350-hectare concession himself to stop it being logged and mined, then built a camp along the river that runs through it. Fifteen oversized tents, decorated as though a 1960s expedition had unpacked in the jungle, sit above waterfalls and pools, connected by walkways.
Guests can arrive by zipline straight into the bar. Days are spent on expedition boats, on jungle walks, or out with the Wildlife Alliance ranger patrols the camp funds, dismantling snares and tracking poachers.
Everything is included: food, drink, activities and treatments at the riverside spa. It is genuinely remote, roughly four hours from Phnom Penh or Sihanoukville by road.
