Jumby Bay Island
Three hundred car-free acres reached only by the resort's own boat

Jumby Bay occupies its own 300-acre island a short boat ride off Antigua's northern shore. There are no cars; guests travel by bicycle or golf buggy along paths that thread between casuarina trees, and the sense of having stepped out of the wider world is immediate and complete.
Accommodation runs to around forty suites, rooms and villas, many with private pools and direct beach access. Under the Oetker Collection the service is precise without being stiff, and the all-inclusive rate covers dining, drinks and most activities.
Pasture Bay on the island's Atlantic side is a hawksbill turtle nesting site, and the resort's long-running conservation programme lets guests join researchers during the season. Elsewhere there are tennis courts, a croquet lawn, a spa in a former plantation building and three restaurants.
