Nonsuch Bay Resort
Reef-protected water on the wild east coast, and sailing included

Nonsuch Bay sits on Antigua's quieter Atlantic side, where an offshore reef flattens the water into a wide, protected lagoon. That combination of steady trade winds and calm water makes it one of the better places in the Caribbean to learn to sail, and the resort's RYA-accredited watersports operation is the main draw.
Accommodation is apartment-style, in low terraces stepping down the hillside, plus a row of rustic beach cottages with French doors opening onto lawns. Units have kitchens, which suits longer stays and families.
There are three pools, a restaurant on the point with long views over the bay, and a shuttle to Green Island for a day on an uninhabited beach. It is less formal than Antigua's west-coast resorts and priced accordingly.
