Curtain Bluff
A peninsula with two beaches, one calm and one for the surf

Curtain Bluff opened in 1962 and occupies a headland with a beach on each side: one calm and protected for swimming, the other open to the Atlantic swell. Guests tend to pick a side and stay there, and a good number have been coming back annually for decades.
Rooms and suites step up the bluff, all facing water, with terraces built for long afternoons. The style is comfortably traditional rather than fashionable, with rattan, marble bathrooms and plenty of space.
The all-inclusive rate covers a notably deep wine cellar, the tennis programme on four championship courts, watersports and a well-regarded kids club. The resort has a strong record of supporting the neighbouring village of Old Road.
