Six Senses Zil Pasyon
Villas wedged among house-sized granite boulders on a private island

Felicite is a small granite island northeast of La Digue, and Six Senses has used its extraordinary rock formations as the structural idea for the whole resort. Villas are slotted between and around boulders the size of buildings, with pools cut to follow the stone and decks cantilevered out over the drop.
There are only a few dozen villas and residences on an island of 268 hectares, so most of it remains untouched forest and rock. Walking trails lead to viewpoints and hidden coves, and the resort has an ongoing programme to remove invasive species and restore native vegetation.
Dining and wellness follow the Six Senses template - an organic garden, an ice cream parlour, a spa built into the rocks, and sleep and wellness programmes with visiting practitioners. Access is a helicopter from Mahe or a boat from Praslin, and the surrounding waters are part of a marine area with good snorkelling straight off the beach.
