Rayavadee
Circular pavilions in a coconut grove beneath the Railay limestone cliffs

Rayavadee sits on the Railay peninsula in Krabi, hemmed in by limestone karsts and reachable only by boat. The resort occupies a coconut grove between three beaches — Railay West, Phranang and Nam Mao — inside Krabi's marine national park, which is why the surroundings have stayed undeveloped.
Guests stay in distinctive two-storey circular pavilions with thatched roofs, plus a smaller number of beachfront villas with private pools. The design is deliberately low-rise so nothing competes with the cliffs, which rise almost vertically behind the property.
The Grotto, a restaurant tucked into a limestone overhang on Phranang beach, is the resort's signature setting. Rock climbing, kayaking around the karsts and boat trips to the Hong and Poda islands are all run from the beach, and the wider peninsula is walkable in minutes.
