Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai
Lanna pavilions around a working rice terrace in the Mae Rim valley

Half an hour north of Chiang Mai in the Mae Rim valley, this resort is built around a genuine working rice terrace, farmed on the property with water buffalo. Guest pavilions in northern Lanna style are arranged on the slopes above, each with a private sala and a view down over the paddies to the hills beyond.
Accommodation runs from one-bedroom pavilions to multi-bedroom residences with pools. Two bi-level infinity pools overlook the terraces, and the spa occupies its own quiet corner of the estate.
The resort leans into its setting: guests can plant and harvest rice alongside the estate's farmers, take cooking classes at the on-site school, or ride out into the surrounding hills. Chiang Mai's temples and night markets are close enough for an easy evening trip, but the valley itself feels entirely rural.
