Half Moon spreads across four hundred acres and two miles of shoreline east of Montego Bay, built around a broad crescent of sand that gives the property its name. It is large, but it is laid out generously enough that it rarely feels it.
Accommodation ranges from rooms in the original Georgian-influenced buildings to the newer, more contemporary Eclipse wing on its own stretch of beach, plus a set of substantial private villas with pools and butlers.
Facilities are extensive: a Robert Trent Jones golf course, an equestrian centre where guests ride into the sea, thirteen tennis courts, a spa in a converted plantation house and a dolphin lagoon. Families and returning guests make up much of the clientele.
