Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo
A hilltop resort straddling two bays on Guanacaste's most exclusive peninsula

The Four Seasons occupies the narrow neck of the Papagayo Peninsula, with a calm bay on one side and a rougher Pacific beach on the other, so there is a swimmable option whatever the swell is doing. Rooms and suites are spread across the ridge and down to the water.
There is a lot on site: an Arnold Palmer golf course along the spine of the peninsula, a substantial spa, a well-run kids' programme and several restaurants. Guanacaste's dry tropical forest surrounds it, and howler monkeys and coatis are routine sightings on the paths.
Liberia airport is around forty-five minutes away with direct flights from North America, which makes this the easiest high-end arrival in Costa Rica. Rincon de la Vieja volcano and the Guanacaste surf beaches are day trips.
