Duba Plains occupies a private reserve of roughly 77,000 acres in the far north of the Okavango Delta, reached by light aircraft and then a drive across floodplain. The concession is largely an island system, seasonally cut off by water, and is best known for the long-running interaction between its resident lion prides and large buffalo herds, documented over years by the camp's founders.

There are only five tents, plus a two-bedroom suite, built in a 1920s expedition register with campaign furniture, brass and canvas, each raised on decking under shade trees with a plunge pool.

Game drives cross water channels in specially built vehicles, and mokoro and boating are offered when levels allow. The camp is owned by conservation filmmakers, and the tone of the guiding reflects that: patient, long sits at sightings rather than ticking off species.
