DumaTau overlooks the Osprey Lagoon on the Linyanti Wildlife Reserve, a private concession of around 300,000 acres bordering Chobe National Park. The reserve sits on one of the most heavily used elephant corridors in southern Africa, and in the dry months the herds moving to and from the Linyanti River are the defining sight.

The camp was demolished and rebuilt, reopening with eight suites and two two-bedroom villas on raised decks, each with a plunge pool and sliding glass that opens the room to the water. It runs almost entirely on solar power with battery storage.

Activities combine game drives across floodplain and mopane woodland with boat cruises on the Linyanti and time in a sunken photographic hide at a waterhole. Lion, wild dog and large buffalo herds are all regular on the concession.
