The Reykjavik EDITION
Harbourside design hotel beside the Harpa concert hall, with Esja across the water

The EDITION stands on Reykjavík's old harbour next to the glass facets of the Harpa concert hall, looking north across Faxaflói bay to Mount Esja. The interiors are the restrained, pale, wood-heavy style the brand is known for, softened by Icelandic stone and wool.
There are two restaurants, a cocktail bar that doubles as one of the livelier rooms in the city, a spa and a gym. Rooms at the front give bay and mountain views; on clear winter nights the aurora is occasionally visible from them.
It is a genuine city hotel, walkable to Hallgrímskirkja, the Laugavegur shopping streets and the whale-watching docks, which makes it the sensible urban half of an Iceland itinerary.
