Nayara Springs is the adults-only half of the Nayara estate outside La Fortuna, reached across a suspension bridge from the original gardens. Each of the villas has its own plunge pool fed by naturally heated mineral water, screened by regenerated rainforest.
The view is the reason people come: Arenal's near-perfect cone rises directly behind the property, visible from most terraces when cloud allows. Sloths, toucans and agoutis have colonised the replanted gardens, and the group employs its own naturalists.
La Fortuna is the base for the area's waterfalls, hanging bridges, whitewater and public hot springs, all within half an hour. The wider Nayara estate also includes garden rooms and a tented camp for those travelling with children.
