Malliouhana
A clifftop original above Meads Bay, revived with colour and confidence

Malliouhana was the hotel that put Anguilla on the luxury map when it opened in 1984, perched on a rocky bluff between Meads Bay and Turtle Cove. After a period of closure and a substantial rebuild it reopened under Auberge Resorts with the original architecture intact and considerably brighter interiors.
Rooms face the sea from terraces cut into the cliff, and the two-tier pool cascades down towards the beach below. The colour palette is deliberately cheerful, with bold tiles, rattan and local art.
The beach at Meads Bay is one of Anguilla's best and the walk along it passes several of the island's better independent restaurants. On site there is a spa, tennis courts, a kids programme and a beach bar that stays busy at sunset.
