Foxhill Manor
Eight rooms, no menus, no reception desk — an Arts and Crafts house run as your own

Foxhill Manor is an Arts and Crafts house on the same Farncombe Estate as Dormy House, but run on an entirely different principle. There are only eight bedrooms, no reception desk, no printed menus and no room numbers — guests are looked after by a small team who treat the house as a private home lent out for the night.
The all-inclusive arrangement the hotel calls the Full Fox covers meals cooked to order, drinks from a well-stocked honesty bar and use of the house spa. You tell the chef roughly what you feel like and when, and it appears. The sitting rooms, cinema snug and terrace are yours to use without booking, which is the point: the house is designed to be occupied rather than visited.
It is a natural choice for a small group taking the whole place, though individual rooms are sold too. Broadway Tower stands on the ridge above, and the walking routes along the Cotswold escarpment start at the boundary of the estate.
