COMO Parrot Cay
A thousand private acres and a mile of beach, with COMO Shambhala at its heart
COMO Parrot Cay occupies its own thousand-acre island between Providenciales and North Caicos, reached by boat across a shallow turquoise channel. A mile of unbroken white beach runs along the north shore, and mangrove and scrub cover most of the rest.
Accommodation ranges from beach houses to substantial villas with private pools and dedicated staff, all done in the pale, minimal COMO style. The island has long attracted guests who want to disappear entirely, and the privacy is real.
COMO Shambhala Retreat is the reason many people come: an over-water pavilion for yoga, an Asian-influenced treatment programme and the group's well-known nutritional cooking, served alongside more conventional dining at Terrace. Diving, kayaking through the mangroves and horse riding on the beach are all arranged on the island.
