Glenmorangie House
Nine bedrooms, one distillery and a stretch of empty Easter Ross coastline

Glenmorangie's house at Cadboll sits a short drive from the stills at Tain, a low seventeenth-century farmhouse turned into a nine-bedroom retreat that feels more like staying with a very well-stocked friend than checking into a hotel. Guests gather for drinks before a set dinner, and the whisky simply keeps appearing.
The setting is a quiet run of Easter Ross coast — gorse, barley fields and a shingle beach — with the Tarbat peninsula and its lighthouse a few miles north. There are three garden cottages in addition to the house rooms.
Stays include a distillery visit, and the house arranges foraging with the kitchen, archery, cocktail sessions and, on the right winter night, aurora watching. It holds a Michelin Key and was named best luxury experience hotel by VisitScotland.
