The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa
At the centre of Britain's grandest Georgian crescent, with a secret garden behind

The hotel sits at the dead centre of John Wood the Younger's Royal Crescent, the Grade I sweep of thirty terraced houses completed in 1775 and arguably the finest Georgian set piece in Britain. From the front there is nothing to mark it out but a discreet door.
Behind, the surprise is an acre of walled garden running back from the crescent, invisible from the street, with the Dower House restaurant and a converted coach house opening onto it. The forty-five rooms and suites are individually decorated, several with four-posters and crescent views over the lawn.
The Bath House spa occupies the old stables and stone cottages, with a relaxation pool, steam room and sauna. The Roman Baths, the Abbey and the Assembly Rooms are all within a short walk downhill.
